Super Pep Rally Friday!
Decked-Out “Fan Van” Carrying WTHS Student Council To Visit all District Elementary Schools for Eagles’ Pep Rallies
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – As if they needed to up the pep in the Super Bowl pep rallies that are planned throughout the District, Washington Township bus driver Blanche Rosati and members of the Washington Township High School junior and senior class councils, along with their advisor Carol Costello, are taking the frenzy to a whole new level. The Eagles “fan van,” a decked-out school bus that Rosati has devoted hours to decorating in Eagles’ green, will transport the equally outfitted students to the Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center and all six elementary schools on Friday, February 2nd. In addition to gearing up for the big game and showing their Eagles’ pride, the pep rallies are being staged as a way to bring attention to the District’s upcoming Helping Hands Hoagie Sale on February 4th.
“We are so excited to see all of the creative activities and Eagles’ excitement at each of our schools,” Costello said. “The most spirited school, as judged by my students, will get bragging rights and a future ice cream party. It is our way of showing our pride in our hometown team and our District-wide excitement for the big game. Go Eagles!”
The “fan van” first will make at stop to visit the senior citizens at Cardinal Village (455 Hurffville-Cross Keys Road, Sewell) at 9:15 a.m. before making the rounds to the pep rallies on the following schedule:
- 10:00 a.m.: Wedgwood Elementary (236 Hurffville Road, Sewell)
- 10:30 a.m.: Hurffville Elementary (200 Hurffville-Grenloch Road, Sewell)
- 11:00 a.m.: Grenloch Terrace ECC (251 Woodbury-Turnersville Road, Sewell)
- 11:30 a.m.: Bells Elementary (227 Greentree Road, Turnersville)
- 12:00 p.m.: Whitman Elementary (827 Whitman School Road, Turnersville)
- 12:30 p.m.: Birches Elementary (416 Westminster Blvd., Turnersville)
- 1:00 p.m.: Thomas Jefferson Elementary (95 Altair Drive, Turnersville)
