District Adding YouTube Platform
Washington Township Public Schools Launching YouTube Channel to Showcase Original Programming
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Washington Township Public Schools announced on Thursday, October 11, 2018, that it will begin airing original programming on a newly established YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UC7AO6hXOBszP_hvg5uwpsRA, or www.tinyurl.com/wttvproductions.
WTPS video productions showcasing District programs, staff profiles, student achievement, school assemblies, athletic events and classroom spotlights, among other pieces, will be available on demand at the YouTube channel. These features previously only were available to cable subscribers on WT-TV Channel 9 (Comcast) and Channel 36 (Verizon FiOS).
The District will share links to new programming through its social media platforms on Facebook and Twitter, and an archive of programs will be available on the YouTube channel.
“Sharing out our original programming via social media and through our newly created District YouTube channel gives our community easier access to the noteworthy things that happen every day in our classrooms and in all of our schools,” Superintendent of Schools Joe Bollendorf said. “This media allows us to showcase our many successes, to share important information, and to celebrate the achievements of our students and staff with a broader audience. It is one more communication tool we can utilize to reach our families where they are.”
