Fashion Relay Brings Fun to Bunker Hill Middle School French Classes’ Vocabulary Practice

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Bunker Hill Middle School French students in Madame Kiki Pecheux’s classes recently took a “fashion-forward” way of learning their new vocabulary words. A fashion relay, that is.
With a unit on French words for clothing items, Madame Pecheux brought in some authentic French clothing – hers and her husband’s – and tossed them onto the floor in the front of the classroom. She would describe an item, in French, giving the vocabulary word, the material, and the color, and students had to race up and sort through the items to find the correct piece of apparel.
