WT Police Bring “High-Five Friday” to Birches Elementary

Members of the Washington Township Police and their mascot, “McGruff the Crime Dog,” teamed up with Birches Elementary School mascot “Benny the Bengal,” principal Jessica Rose and school staff to welcome the students on October 18th, a “High-Five Friday.” Police Chief Pat Gurcsik and members of his force have been spending Friday mornings at schools throughout the District as a show of community safety, solidarity and support.
