Washington Township High School Student Council Plans Grade-Level Soirées In Lieu of Traditional Homecoming Dance
With ongoing COVID concerns forcing the cancellation of Washington Township High School’s traditional Homecoming Dance, members of the school’s Student Council are organizing free grade-level soirées, providing an opportunity for students to mix and mingle with their peers safely.
The evenings will include music and fun and will require masks and social distancing. To keep in compliance with New Jersey Outdoor Gathering restrictions, only 450 students will be admitted and must present their student identifications. The other 50 attendees will be Student Council members, advisors and chaperones.
Each soirée will be hosted at Tom Brown Field from 7:30-9:00 p.m. on the following dates, weather permitting:
Monday, October 26, 2020: Freshman Class
Thursday, October 29, 2020: Sophomore Class
Friday, October 30, 2020: Junior Class
Friday, November 6, 2020: Senior Class
For additional information on the planned soirées, please contact Student Council Co-Advisors Brittany Mason (bmason@wtps.org) and Shannon Molloy (smolloy@wtps.org).
