Chestnut Ridge Middle School Names Winners of Winter Wonderland Door Decorating Contest
CRMS teachers Mrs. Jennifer Reilly and Mrs. Deanna Petito hold the Winter Wonderland Trophy as winners of the door decorating competition.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Chestnut Ridge Middle School recently held a Winter Wonderland Door Decorating Contest, with the Winter Wonderland Trophy on the line. It was a tight competition, but in the end, the overall Best All-Around winner went to Mrs. Jennifer Reilly and Mrs. Deanna Petito with their “Frozen Fractions” entry.
The door featured a large figure of Elsa from the movie “Frozen” and the hall next to it was adorned with the phrase, “Let the math rage on; fractions never bothered us anyway.”
Other honorees from the competition included:
- 2nd Place (Tie) Best Presentation: "Gingerbread Lane" - PE Staff and Students
- 2nd Place (Tie) Best Use of School Mascot: "Where's Norm?" - Mrs. Halicks and Mrs. Kwietkowski
- 3rd Place Best Academic Connection: "O Chemis-Tree" - Mrs. Williams
- 4th Place Most Interactive: "Elf Selfie" - Mr. Spina
- 5th Place Most Dedicated: "Marshmallow World" - Mrs. Bathurst
- Honorable Mention (Tie) Most Professional Design: "Fireplace HUSTLE" - Mrs. Hinrichs
- Honorable Mention (Tie) Most Impactful Design: "The Grinch" - Mr. Ranger
