WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Washington Township Public Schools Food Service Department recently had the pleasure of welcoming two interns from Rowan University for three weeks. Lyndsay Grega and Abby Broschard are both getting their Master's degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics.
The interns worked diligently to get the District’s new CNCentral menu program up and running. They also were invited to Birches Elementary School to do a presentation on “THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW,” a look into different colored fruits and vegetables and their nutritional differences.
“Lyndsay and Abby were delightful and so helpful to have around,” Food Service Manager Jennifer Mullin said. “And now, we are lucky enough to have partnered with Rowan for more interns to join us in January.”
