WTHS to Stage Musical “The Little Mermaid” March 10-12 at Investors Bank Performing Arts Center
The Washington Township High School Way Off Broadway Players will stage Disney’s The Little Mermaid on March 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. The production has been moved to the school’s Investors Bank Performing Arts Center to comply with COVID protocols and to allow for a one-seat buffer per transaction, to help maintain safe social distancing for patrons attending the performances.
All tickets are reserved seating ($15 per ticket) and will be available beginning January 24, 2022, online at https://wthsnj.booktix.com . Performances are planned for Thursday, March 10th and Friday, March 11th at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 12th at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
In addition to showcasing the incredible talents of the high school students, the production will also include the contributions of elementary performers who successfully auditioned for the cast.
The Little Mermaid, a 1989 animated musical fantasy film, tells the story of a mermaid named Ariel who dreams of becoming human and falls in love with a human prince named Eric. This leads Ariel to making a magic deal with the sea witch, Ursula, to become human. The film was adapted for the stage in 2007.
