Washington Township Public Schools Announce Meal Prices for 2022-23 School Year
The Washington Township Board of Education has approved meal prices for the 2022-23 school year, as the District returns to pre-pandemic reimbursement requirements for school breakfast and lunch following the discontinuation of the Federal government’s universal free meal program.
Applications for those families who may qualify for free lunch are being sent home and also are available on the Food Service Department’s page on the District website (www.wtps.org). Families are urged to complete and submit the applications as soon as possible, since receipt of this application is used to determine eligibility for other services. In 2022-23, students who qualify for reduced status will not be charged for their lunch or breakfast.
“We are proud to offer our students and staff nutritious, balanced and enjoyable food options at affordable prices at all of our schools,” Interim Superintendent of Schools Jack McGee said. “Our food service staff is committed to the preparation of high quality and highly varied menus. We applaud them for the important role they play in fueling our success.”
