Bunker Hill Middle School Eighth-Graders Honored for Taking First Place in Law Adventure Mock Trial Competition

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - Bunker Hill Middle School eighth-grade students in Mrs. Megan Merrill’s humanities classes recently took first place in the 2025 Law Adventure Mock Trial competition, winning the top spot in the state of New Jersey for their submission.

As part of their prize, the students went on a field trip to the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, where they performed their winning case in front of other schools, with an official judge presiding.

“It was a fantastic experience for them,” Merrill said. “We also received a plaque that we’ll proudly hang in the Bunker Hill lobby.”
