Sharing His Story
Motivational Speaker Reggie Dabbs Gives High-Energy Assemblies at District Elementary, Middle Schools
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – To help kick off the Olweus Anti-Bullying Program across the Washington Township Public Schools, the District set up high-energy assemblies with motivational speaker Reggie Dabbs. Over the past two day, Mr. Dabbs visited eight Washington Township schools, addressing the student body and getting them ready for a year of practicing good character habits.
Dabbs has been one of the most sought-after public school and event speakers in the United States and the world for more than two decades. From professional athletes and stay-at-home moms to high school students, he relentlessly chases his personal passion around the globe by sharing his own astonishing story of tragedy, redemption and hope with millions of people each year.
Dabbs uses humor to talk to kids about choices each of them will have when faced with drugs, alcohol, suicide, and more. He tells them that he never smoked a cigarette, never did drugs, never drank alcohol, because he chose not to. He assures them that they can make the same kinds of choices, driving home the fact that “You can never change your past, but you can change your future!”
