Ten WTHS Students Earn Intuit QuickBooks Certifications
Ten students in Sara Simpson’s Accounting II classes at Washington Township High School recently earned Intuit QuickBooks certifications.
“I am so proud of this group of students,” Simpson said. “They have been working since April to prepare for the exam. In order to receive the certification, my students needed to show a rigorous understanding of the online program, practically memorizing many of its functions, without the ability to look at the program while answering multiple-choice questions. We used Gmetrix simulations and labyrinth learning software to prepare for it. The certification helps these students to stand out in college and to obtain first internships because it verifies that they already have the knowledge, and have mastered many concepts, that they would not typically encounter until their second or third year of college.”
WTHS students who successfully received their Intuit QuickBooks Certifications include (clockwise, from upper left corner) – Helen Horan, Hamilton Pagan, Kaleb Russell, Matthew DiGiacomo, Gregory Bianchi, Ryan Culin, Matthew Liss, Edward Tobler, Amanda Smith, and Samantha Moss.
