Student Representative Angelina Chila Takes Oath, Assumes Seat on Washington Township Board of Education
Washington Township High School junior Angelina Chila took the Student Board oath and officially assumed her seat on the Washington Township Board of Education at the Board’s September 27th meeting.
“On behalf of the Board of Education, I enthusiastically welcome Angelina Chila to her new role as a student Board of Education member,” Interim Superintendent of School Jack McGee said. “This initiative in the State of New Jersey became a requirement of all Boards of Education starting in the 2022-23 school year. We are thrilled to have Angelina join our BOE team. Although she is a non-voting member of the Board, I know fully that Angelina’s input will be highly valued and welcomed with myriad discussions and challenges that our Board moves through.”
