WTHS’ “Monzo Madness” Raises $10,000 to Benefit ALS
With a song in their heart and a dance in their feet, Washington Township High School students rallied to raise $10,000 in support of the ALS Association during the school’s annual “Monzo Madness” overnight dance-thon on May 13-14, 2022. The event is organized by the school’s Interact Club.
“Our remarkable donation to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia was made in memory of the father of WTHS teacher Megan Foster, Christopher Joseph Narducci, who lost his battle to the disease this year,” Interact Club co-advisor Shera Jahn said. “Both Megan and her mother were in attendance and expressed their appreciation to the students.”
As an added surprise to the students, Rastelli’s Market sponsored an appearance by Groark Boys BBQ who donated pulled pork and mac-n-cheese to the more than 250 students who had worked up an appetite during the active fundraiser.
Members of the WTHS Interact Club, under the direction of advisors Shera Jahn and Kevin MacNamara, proudly donated $10,000 to the ALS Association in memory of the father of WTHS teacher Megan Foster, Christopher Joseph Narducci, who lost his battle to the disease this year. The students raised the proceeds through the Interact Club’s annual all-night dance-a-thon “Monzo Madness.”
