WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Wedgwood Elementary School Green Club recently completed construction of a Reading Garden located alongside the school. The green space has a focus on all things New Jersey, including native plants and highlighting official state symbols such as honeybee decorations and gold finch bird feeders.
To raise funds for this project, the Green Club started an aluminum can drive and sold reusable bags featuring a club member’s design.
The Green Club also received help from the community to make the Reading Garden possible. Specifically, the Washington Township Environmental Club donated flowers that were grown by Jim McCann.
