WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Washington Township High School seniors Shanely Colon and Justin Forman found out they were the winners of the annual Christopher Biedrzycki Memorial Scholarship at the WTHS Senior Awards Night on Friday, June 14, 2024. Then, on Monday, June 17th, the soon-to-be grads welcomed special guests Bob and Pattie Biedrzycki – Christopher’s parents – to the school to formally present the scholarship.
The Christopher Biedrzycki Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Christopher, a 2002 Washington Township High School graduate, a 2007 West Virginia University graduate, and a former industrial engineer for the Philadelphia Housing Authority. Family and friends have generously contributed to the memorial scholarship, coordinated by the efforts of siblings Michael, a 2005 WTHS graduate, and Alison, a 1998 graduate. The Christopher Biedrzycki Memorial Scholarship is awarded to two seniors who have an interest in engineering and who are planning to major in engineering in college.
Shanely Colon will attend Rowan University in the fall, while Justin Forman will attend Rowan College of South Jersey. Each of them received a $1,200 scholarship.
