Painting Their Pledge

Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center Students Paint Their Pledge to Keep the School “No Place for Hate”

ecc no place 1a WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center students spent the morning of Thursday, December 5th, with painted hands, signifying a promise. The GTECC student body left their hand prints on the school’s “No Place for Hate” pledge banner.

The banner features a statement of promise that the “Grenloch Gardeners” will try to follow throughout the school year and beyond.

The promise reads:

I promise to do my best to treat everyone fairly.

I promise to do my best to be kind to everyone,

even if they are not like me.

If I see someone being hurt or bullied,

I will report it to a teacher.

Everyone should be able to feel safe

and happy at school.

I want our school to be No Place for Hate.

In the photo at left, GTECC kindergarten students Sean Longfellow and Lucy Mortelliti (foreground), from Miss Anita Bucci’s class, sign the No Place for Hate pledge.
