Washington Township Education Foundation to Host August 9th Blood Drive
The Washington Township Education Foundation seeks local support as the organization teams with the American Red Cross to host a Blood Drive on Tuesday, August 9th from noon to 5 p.m. in the Eileen Abbott Central Administration Building (206 East Holly Avenue, Sewell, N.J.).
As an added incentive, community members who present to donate blood or platelets will receive a coupon redeemable for a free egg and cheese wake-up wrap and a free medium hot or iced beverage courtesy of Dunkin’.
“The Washington Township Education Foundation is pleased to host this blood drive as a benefit to both the American Red Cross,” WTEF president Charlie Doud said. “We have learned that donations often slump in the summer months. In fact, the Red Cross currently is facing an emergency blood shortage and has issued an urgent call for eligible individuals of all blood types, especially type O, to give now and help save patient lives. We urge members of our community to roll up their sleeves for this lifesaving cause.”
Interested donors can register online by visiting www.redcrossblood.org and using the sponsor code WTEF, by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by contacting Jan Giel at 856-589-6644, x6550 to obtain an appointment.
