Dear Birches Community,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  I am loving being in Township as principal.  I have found this community to be loving, caring and all about doing what's best for our kids: the perfect combination.  Classrooms are getting cleaned, floors are being waxed, Teachers are planning exciting lessons, and the only thing missing is our students and staff to join us soon.  Last year we introduced Teammates of the Month, Popsicles with the Principal, and an updated, super-soaked Field Day!  We also had fun at Family Bingo Night(s), an incredible Art show, as well as several musical events showing our students' super talents.  Our PTO is working hard to provide fun-filled events for our entire school community this coming year, and we welcome our new families entering Birches for the first time.

This is my second year as Principal of Birches.  I came to Washington Township having taught 22 years in ELA and was a Vice Principal and Curriculum Supervisor.  I am a proud wife and mom of four, practice hot yoga, and row on a dragon boat competitively, and I hold teaching, supervisory, principal and school administrator certifications.  Continuing the excellence of Birches Elementary School is of the utmost importance to me.

We are continually working to live out the Birches vision- to work in partnership with families and the community to empower all students to grow as problem solvers, digital learners, and well-rounded global citizens.

It is a great honor to me to be the Principal of Birches Elementary!  Welcome to the 2024-25 school year.
