Donating Her Locks
Thomas Jefferson Elementary School Kindergarten Student Donates a Foot of Hair to Wigs and Wishes Organization
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Thomas Jefferson Elementary School student Aurora Pinardo was super excited to show her teachers her brand-new haircut when she came back to school after a recent weekend. The kindergartener’s new look was a bit of a shock to teachers Jaclyn Brutsche, Roxanne Wade and Sarah Burns, as 12 inches of her long, blonde hair was shorn. Pinardo did so to honor a family member, donating her hair to the Wigs and Wishes organization.
Wigs and Wishes is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing wigs and granting wishes to courageous individuals battling cancer. The organization is run by local hair stylist Martino Cartier.
