Hurffville Elementary School Kicks off New Year with Flag Raising, “Wave of Welcome” on Front Lawn

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Hurffville Elementary School principal Dr. Naté Switzer, school mascot Hero, and the entire Huskies community came together on Tuesday morning, September 12, 2023, to officially raise the school flag and kick off the 2023-24 school year. The school also issued a special welcome to the newest Huskies, their kindergartners.

The whole school met on the front lawn, where they recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Dr. Switzer raised the flag, and the staff and students did a “Wave of Welcome” to the kindergarteners. The program ended with the entire community singing the Hurffville School Song.
