Whitman School team members celebrate the Kickball Kraze championship!

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Washington Township fifth-grade students came out in full force to participate in the Sixth annual Kickball Kraze Grade 5 Tournament held on May 13th at Total Turf Experience in Pitman. Fifth-graders from the District's six elementary schools arrived at the indoor sports facility ready to take part in a kickball tournament, with volunteer staff members and community members leading the way.

Money raised from the event will go toward awarding scholarships to graduating seniors. This year's championship featured Whitman and Thomas Jefferson elementary schools, with Whitman coming out victorious.

A huge thank you goes out to the Washington Township Police and WT Fire Department for helping to umpire the event.

Volunteer umpires and competition coordinators included (left to right) Officer Brett Nelson, Officer Gary Egizi, James Cho (event coordinator), Erin Wiseley (event coordinator), fire chief Dan Pacewicz, firefighter Mike Paul Jr., Officer Kevin Tarasevich, and Officer Jessica Walton.
