Bells Elementary School PTO Honors Cole Fitzgerald with $700 Donation Toward Memorial Scholarship

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – At its monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 10th, the Bells Elementary School PTO gathered to present the Fitzgerald family a check for $700 to put toward the Cole Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship. Cole, a 2022 Washington Township High School graduate, passed away on December 15, 2023, after an 18-month courageous battle with cancer.

Bells art teacher Mrs. Sharon Stewart crafted the check, symbolizing the collective effort of Bells families who participated in the school’s Cupcake Wars competition as bakers and customers, alongside the extended Washington Township community.

The Bells PTO extends heartfelt gratitude to the Fitzgerald family for allowing the community to honor Cole's memory.
