Presidents’ Council to Host Meet the Candidates’ Night on Wednesday, October 18, 2023

 

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Washington Township Presidents’ Council will sponsor the 2023 Meet the Candidates Forum, moderated by Janet Fisher-Hughes from the League of Women’s Voters in Camden County, in the Eileen Abbott Central Administration Board Room (206 E. Holly Avenue in Sewell, NJ) on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 7 p.m.
 

The event will introduce the eight petitioners seeking four available seats on the Washington Township Board of Education.
 

Candidates will field questions posed by interested Washington Township residents in attendance at the forum. The program will be recorded in its entirety and aired on WT-TV (channel 9 on Comcast/channel 36 on Verizon, as well as online at www.youtube.com/wttvproductions) in the weeks preceding the November 7th school board election.
 

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, political organization whose purpose is to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government.
 

The following candidates are seeking seats on the Washington Township Board of Education:
 

Unexpired one-year term (one available seat):
Steven Serrano
 

Three-year term (three available seats):
Thomas Baldosaro, Patricia Blome, Scott Laliberte (incumbent), Bonnie Marano, Ralph Ross Sr. (incumbent), Jim McKeever, and Daniel Woodington.
