Washington Township 10th Annual Middle School Idol Contest Slated for February 3rd at OVMS

Twenty-eight singers and would-be pop stars from Bunker Hill, Chestnut Ridge and Orchard Valley middle schools will be competing in the 10th Annual Washington Township Middle School Idol contest on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 7 p.m. at Orchard Valley Middle School. The contest is directed by OVMS Drama Club Advisors Alyssa Campanini, Amy Leso and Kelly Walz, as well as Washington Township High School Choral Director Amy Melson.
WTHS Chorale President, Kathryn Kim, and Treble Chorus President, Mia Pagliarini, will host the event. There also will be performances by WTHS Choir a cappella groups "Momentum" and "Dynamics."
Participants were selected through an audition process in early January and will compete before a live audience and a panel of local judges on February 3rd. The winner will be crowned WT Middle School Idol 2023 and will earn a solo spotlight in the annual WTHS Pops Concert “Legacy” on February 16, 2023, at the school’s Republic Bank Performing Arts Center.
The event is open to the public. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.00 each. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
