WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – On June 13, 2024, the Washington Township Public Schools asked students to bring in non-perishable items to benefit the Washington Township food pantry at Mother’s Cupboard and the Angels Community Outreach in Pitman. Both organizations provide help to families who need assistance, especially over the summer months.

In addition, district staff held a dress down day to raise more funds for the cause through gift cards and more.

Mother’s Cupboard received groceries, $300 in ShopRite gift cards, and $35 Wawa gift cards. Angels Community Outreach received groceries, two boxes of children’s socks, and a combination of ShopRite and Aldi gift cards worth $300.

Grocery donations went to both Mother's Cupboard and Angels Community Outreach.

Donations were plentiful at dropoff at Angels Community Outreach.
