Washington Township High School’s Shane Snyder to be Inducted into New Jersey State Coaches Association Hall of Fame

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Former Washington Township High School boys soccer coach Shane Snyder continues to garner recognition after stepping down from his position at the end of the 2023 season. Recently, he was named as a 2024 inductee into the New Jersey State Coaches’ Association Hall of Fame, joining 16 other members of the most recent class.


Snyder will be honored by the NJSCA Hall of Fame at its annual banquet on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Pines Manor in Edison. 


In his 14 years as Minutemen head coach, Snyder’s teams won three Group IV state championships and seven South Jersey sectional crowns – neither of which were achieved in program history prior to his appointment. Snyder’s Minutemen also won eight conference championships and three South Jersey Coaches’ Association tournament titles, finishing with a career record of 241-52-19. 


Additionally, Snyder posted a 91-40-7 record in six seasons in charge of the WTHS girls soccer team prior to taking over the boys’ squad, and he remains the coach of the highly successful boys golf program. Snyder is a special education teacher at WTHS.
