Farid Syed Named New Assistant Principal at Bunker Hill Middle School

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Washington Township Public Schools recently welcomed new leadership at Bunker Hill Middle School. Farid Syed, a long-time South Jersey educator with a strong background in leadership and coaching, is the new assistant principal at BHMS. He takes the spot vacated when Allison Egizi was elevated to school principal earlier this year.
Over the last two years, Mr. Syed was an assistant principal at Kingsway Regional High School and also served as a liaison to athletics and school activities. Previously, he was a health, physical education, and drivers' education instructor in Kingsway, Pennsauken, and Lindenwold.
Mr. Syed was recognized for pioneering a girls wrestling program at Kingsway, which earned him the respect of the state as the NJSIAA Girls Wrestling Coach of the Year. He also was recognized on the national level for his coaching acumen. Mr. Syed also has coached football, volleyball, and track, shaping many lives through his vocation.
Mr. Syed holds an Master of Education degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University, a standard principal's certification, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University. He is committed to help each student become the best version of themselves in school and in life, and he is looking forward to working closely with the entire Bunker Hill community.
