Idol This Friday!

Middle School Idol Contest Takes the Stage at WTHS Play House This Friday at 7 p.m.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP - The annual Washington Township Middle School Idol contest will be held tomorrow, Friday, January 31, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Play House at Washington Township High School (11/12 auditorium). Twenty-six contestants from Bunker Hill, Chestnut Ridge, and Orchard Valley Middle Schools will compete for the title and a solo spotlight in the annual WTHS Choir Pops Experience on February 13th.  


The event is sponsored by the Orchard Valley Middle School Drama and Panther Pride Clubs and is organized by Amy Leso, Alyssa Campanini, Kelly Walz, Sarah Blake and Amy Melson. In addition to the contestants, there will be performances by WTHS Choir a cappella groups, Momentum and Dynamics, and our 2024 Washington Township Middle School Idol winner, Luciana DiVenti. WTHS Choir Presidents Annabelle Corigliano and Jeanine Specht will host the event.


The evening is a celebration of the vocal talent across Washington Township. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at the door for $5.


The contestants vying for the title of 2025 Washington Township Middle School Idol include:


Grade 6: Sara Tuttle, Cecelia Mailliard, Charlotte Cruz, Charlotte Thomas, Sophia Gurcsik, Victoria Tracy, Evelyn Morrisey, Daniella Grassi, Audriana Elmer.


Grade 7: Caylee Rossner, Julia DiSanto, Ada Marano, Sophie Clarke, Ethan Szilier, Samantha Waddington, Giulia Scarduzio.


Grade 8: Jake Alexander, Meddie Joy Tuckey, Madelyn Stanley, Sophia Chila, Madelyn Fjellin, Rose Micciche, Laylah Farrell, Ella Martynick, Amelia Tuttle, Sadie Sparkevicius.
