    What are the symptoms of H1N1?

    A temperature greater than 100 degrees accompanied by a sore throat and/or cough. Other symptoms may include a runny/stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.

     How can I prevent my child from getting sick?

    Wash hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, cough into your elbow, keep your hands away from your face and stay home if you are sick.

    How long should I keep my child home from school?

    Your child should stay home until they are fever free for 24 hours without using any fever reducing medications.

     Is a doctor's note needed to return to school?

    No.  Most doctors aren't seeing patients unless their fever is very high.  Most doctors do not test for H1N1.

     Is the dictrict running a vaccination clinic?

    No.  Washington Township is not running a clinic.

     Where can I get the seasonal and/or H1N1 vaccine for my child?

    You should contact your health care provider.  You may also call the Gloucester County Health Department at 218-4100.  Vaccinations are also being given at local pharmacies.
