Jennifer Simpson  BSN, RN, CSN

Hi, my name is Jennifer Simpson  BSN, RN, CSN, and I will be your child's school nurse here at Whitman Elementary.  I am a 1998 graduate of Widener University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing, and have spent the majority of my nursing career working in a critical care setting on a cardio/pulmonary/stroke unit, with rotations to both the intensive care unit as well as the emergency room.  

I have also worked as a clinical instructor in the RN to BSN program at Delaware County Community College, and in a pediatrician's office working as a flu and immunization nurse.  Most recently, I worked as a surgical/anesthesia nurse in a busy Oral Surgery practice, working with children ranging in ages from 5 through the teenage years.  I completed the School Nurse Certificate program through Rutgers University and am also certified in ashtma, allergy, anaphylaxis, concussion and narcan administration. Along with all of my certifications I also hold my basic life support (CPR/AED) as well as advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).  

When I am not following my passion for nursing, I am a busy mom of three very active children. I spend most of my weekends at a sporting event with my kids.
