District Director of School Counseling Jennifer Grimaldi Honored by Rowan University

grimaldi Washington Township Public Schools’ Director of District School Counseling Jennifer Grimaldi was the inaugural recipient of Rowan University’s Dr. Hector Rios Community Change Agent Award during a May 13th ceremony through the Master’s Counseling Educational Settings Program.  A graduate of the program, Grimaldi studied under Dr. Rios and was recognized not only for her outstanding leadership in the realm of school counseling, but also for the partnership that she created with the Rowan University professors.

 

“The recognition was a true surprise,” Grimaldi said.  “I am so honored to receive this award, especially since it bears the name of someone I so admire and under whom I was privileged to be mentored.”

 

“We congratulate Jennifer Grimaldi on this well-deserved award,” Superintendent of Schools Joe Bollendorf said.  “Our District is lucky to have a person of Jennifer’s expertise, vision and passion leading our school counseling services.  She is a valued and respected member of our administrative team who capably guides and supports the critical roles of her counselors and the children that they serve.”
