Washington Township Middle School Field Hockey Team Celebrates Undefeated Season at 13-0-1
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – The Washington Township Middle School field hockey program recently completed a banner season. The Minutemaids Red Team went undefeated, finishing with a record of 13-0-1, which was tops in its division.
The team compiled of girls from all three middle schools – Bunker Hill, Chestnut Ridge, and Orchard Valley – scored a combined 53 goals and posted nine shutouts.
The middle school program features two teams – Red and Blue. The Minutemaids faced teams from Delran, Williamstown, Christ the King, Clearview, Cinnaminson, Medford, Moorestown, and Northern Burlington middle schools.
The Washington Township teams are led by head coach Sarah Burns, a kindergarten teacher at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, and assistant coach Hope Urso, a first-grade teacher at Wedgwood Elementary.
