Three Washington Township Board of Education Members Sworn In On January 7th

 

The Washington Township Board of Education welcomed three members, including two new appointees, during a swearing in on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Board’s annual reorganization meeting. New Jersey State Assemblyman Paul Moriarty presided over the swearing in.  Community members Dr. Shawnequa Carvalho and Renée Pollard each were appointed to three-year terms, replacing former members Christina Metz and Tiffany Orihel, who did not seek re-election. Board member Danielle Halpin returned for a second three-year term.

 

The Board voted unanimously to retain its leadership team of Julie Kozempel as Board President and Ray Dinovi as Vice President.

New Jersey State Assemblyman Paul Moriarty presided over the swearing-in on January 7th of Board of Education members (from left) Danielle Halpin, Renée Pollard and Dr. Shawnequa Carvalho, all elected to three-year terms. Pollard and Carvalho are first-time Board members.

Board of Education president Julie Kozempel (left) and vice president Ray Dinovi received the unanimous endorsement of their colleagues during the recent Board reorganization and will remain in their leadership roles.
