District Organizes Food Distribution During Remote Learning

Members of the Washington Township Public Schools’ Food Service staff have organized food distribution during remote learning (September 8-18, 2020) for those families who qualify under the federal free and reduced lunch program.  Breakfast and lunch will be available at all schools (excluding the Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center). Families can pick up meals at any school, not just at the school where their children are enrolled.

Families are asked to drive around to the kitchen entrance at each building.  Two distribution sites are setup on the backside of Washington Township High School by entrances to both the 9/10 and 11/12 kitchens.

The first distribution of four breakfasts and four lunches took place on Tuesday, September 8th.  A second distribution will take place on Monday, September 14th between Noon and 1 p.m., when families will be given five breakfasts and five lunches.

Additional information regarding breakfast and lunch service will be forthcoming once students are following the cohort schedule on September 21st.

Please contact the District food services department directly with any questions or concerns at 856-582-4010.
