WTHS National Honor Society to Host Fall Foods and Goods Collection
The Washington Township High School National Honor Society (NHS) will host a Fall Foods and Goods Collection from October 15ththrough November 13thto help the St. John’s Methodist Church Food Pantry and the Stocking for Soldiers Organization, who have both reached out for assistance.
School district staff and community members are asked to contribute the following items:
- Non-perishable food items (ex: ramen noodles, beef jerky, granola bars)
- Socks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, Chapstick, gum
- Toiletries and lotions (small packages), baby wipes, foot powder
- Canned food items
Students can drop off donations outside of Room B-25 at the high school during the school day. Other collection sites and dates include:
- Outside the WTHS Play House (11/12 auditorium) from 2:15-4:14 p.m. on October 19th and October 26th.
- Outside the WTHS Play House (11/12 auditorium) from 6-8 p.m. on October 22ndand October 29th
“The goal of the Washington Township Chapter of the National Honor Society is always to help our community,” NHS Co-Advisor Krista Scardino-Welchsaid. “In these unprecedented times, our charge of service is even more needed, and this collection will uphold our mission of Service, Character, Leadership, and Academics. We are grateful for the support and generosity of our schools and community.”
