WTHS Athletic Trainers Receive COVID-19 Vaccines
The recent shot in the arm that Washington Township High School athletic trainers Dr. Eric Schwartz and Stephanie Mroz-Mosiondz received will give both them, and the student-athletes that they serve, an added level of security. Schwartz and Mroz-Mosiondz received the first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on January 11th from pharmacist Adam Fanelle.
“We are anxious to get our athletes back to practice and competition and are taking every effort to keep ourselves and them safe during the ongoing pandemic,” Schwartz said.
WTHS basketball and bowling started practice January 11thand will begin competition on January 26th. Winter track and swimming are slated to begin practice on February 1st,,with meets beginning February 16th. Wrestling, gymnastics and girls volleyball will start up on March 1stwith matches and meets commencing on March 16th.
“Dr. Schwartz and Mrs. Mroz-Mosiondz have been leading the way in delivering a safe environment for the return to interscholastic athletics at WTHS,” Director of Athletics Kevin Murphy said. “We are all grateful for their service and commitment to remaining safe.”
