WTEA and WTSSSPA Team to Sponsor Annual Trunk or Treat
Ghosts, ghouls and goblins will be welcomed with open arms at the Washington Township Public Schools’ annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event, rain or shine, on Saturday, October 23, 2021, in the Core parking lot of Washington Township High School. The event is being sponsored jointly by the Washington Township Education Association (WTEA) and Washington Township Schools Supportive Services Personnel Association (WTSSSPA).
Participants in decorated vehicles must supply their own candy to distribute to the trick-or-treaters and can begin setting up vehicles in the parking lot from 1-2 p.m. Event sponsors will supply candy to any WTEA/WTSSSPA members who agree to decorate a trunk.
Trick-or-treating will be hosted from 2-3 p.m. A panel of judges will review and deliberate from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. for the costume and decorated trunk contests. Winners will be announced on the premises at 4:45 p.m.
Registration will take place on site, and there is no admission charge for the event. Donations will be solicited by the WTHS JROTC program to establish a scholarship in memory of former Board of Education member Bob Abbott.
