For Immediate Release November 17, 2023
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Students at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School are participating in activities all week in support of the school’s No Place for Hate initiative, including signing their annual No Place for Hate pledge.
One of the activities going on is called “I AM,” which involves the students drawing a picture of themselves that shows aspects of what makes them unique (physical traits, talents, hobbies, etc.).
In the above photo, TJ fifth-grader Michael Anderson (center) poses in front of the pledge wall alongside teacher Talia Strout (left) and school counselor Jillian Wanielista.
