• Students in Mr. Prasad and Mr. Esposito's Classes Become Part of the Archaeological Dig at Red Bank Battlefield in National Park

Over the course of two school days, the students screened excavated soil for artifacts dating back to around 1777 during the Revolutionary War period.   They found remnants of glassware, pottery, firecracked rocks, shards of Native American weaponry and musket balls.

Specifically, located in National Park and right on the banks of the Delaware River, Red Bank has become a designated historical park in Gloucester County.  Specifically, a very significant battle occurred at Red Bank during the Revolution when the Hessians attached Fort Mercher on October 22, 1777.
