    New Bunker Hill Middle School Honor Guard Gets Lesson on Flag Etiquette from Washington Twp. High School Jr. ROTC Members

    BHMS Honor Guard members Cole Wicklund, CJ Rojas, Michael Lalli, Vincent Rosario, and Carlo DiBruno work to properly fold the American flag with the help of members of the Washington Township High School Air Force Jr. ROTC.

     

    WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – Members of the Washington TOwnship High School Air Force Jr. ROTC, led by Lt. Col. Beth Ann Lumpkin, visited Bunker Hill Middle School on Monday, September 9 2024, to train five BHMS students on the proper respect and display of the American flag, as well as the correct way to fold, raise, and lower the flag.

     

    These BHMS students now are official members of the 2024-25 Honor Guard. On Tuesday, September 10th, the Honor Guard raised and lowered the flag with assistance from Special Law Enforcement Officer Darryl Lofland and other members of the Washington Township Police Department. The BHMS Honor Guard will be tasked with raising and lowering the flag on a daily basis.

     

    BHMS Honor Guard members for this school year include: Carlo DiBruno (Grade 6), Michael Lalli ( Grade 6), CJ Rojas (Grade 6), Vincent Rosario (Grade 8), and Cole Wicklund (Grade 7).

     

    Special thanks go out to the WTHS AFJROTC, Lt. Col. Lumpkin, WTPD Ofc. Lofland, Gemel Tutu, and Nick Caserta, as well as K9 Sgt. Paul Crozier.
