    What is Interact?

The Interact Club is a service club whose main goal is to provide opportunities for high school students to help those in need around their community and the world. Interact is sponsored by the Washington Township Rotary Club and is often involved in Rotary's projects as well as their own.
    What does Interact do?
The Interact Club does many things around our community. We hold activities for both mentally challenged citizens and senior citizens such as Buddy Walk, Pacesetter's dances, and Festival of Friends. In order to raise funds for many activities, we run the football concession stand and have fundraisers throughout the year. We also put together Monzo Madness, which is a 24-hour dance-a-thon to raise money for ALS.

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14 to 18; a continuation of the middle school level club, Futureact. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting.

    We teach the importance of:
    - Developing leadership skills and personal integrity
    - Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others
    - Understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work
    - Advancing international understanding and goodwill

THE WTHS INTERACT IS ONE OF THE LARGEST IN NEW JERSEY!

As one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, with more than 10,700 clubs in 109 countries and geographical areas, Interact has become a worldwide phenomenon. Almost 200,000 young people are involved in Interact.
