Public Speaking Club
Advisors: Ashley Pierson and Lindsay Radziak
Public Speaking Club is to provide a platform for individuals to develop and enhance their public speaking skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our mission is to empower members to become confident and effective communicators, capable of delivering impactful presentations and speeches. It is open for members to join at any time of the year. The meetings will run mini-workshops which allow students the opportunity to develop and strengthen communication skills and receive immediate feedback from both peers and staff.
Major Activities and Events:
· Monthly workshops on various aspects of public speaking, such as storytelling, voice projection, eye contact, and body language.
· Practice sessions on a variety of topics, where members can deliver their own speeches and receive constructive feedback from their peers and instructors.
· Peer to peer speaking conferences taking place bi-monthly for students to practice their in-person conversation skills whilst working on eye contact, posture, and pacing.
Students who are interested in joining public speaking club should stop by G-208 or K-205 to talk to Mrs. Pierson or Mrs. Radziak OR send an email to one of the following: apierson@wtps.org; lradziak@wtps.org
