The 2016-2017 school year has gotten off to a great start at Washington Township High School. The administration was happy to welcome back our staff and students and are ready for an exciting and productive year.
Having worked in our school district since 1984, I have had the opportunity to be a teacher and coach, a department supervisor, an assistant principal and the executive assistant principal of the 9-10 Wing before becoming the Principal last year. My family lives in our community and I am happy to say that I am the proud parent of a 2015 graduate of WTHS who is thriving in her college environment, due in great part to her educational opportunities in the WTPS schools.
I am honored to have the opportunity to be the Principal of WTHS and I am committed to maintaining the tradition of educational excellence that we are accustomed to in Washington Township. To our students, providing you with outstanding academic opportunities and extracurricular experiences that pave the way to a successful future and that help you to grow and mature into competent young adults has always been and will continue to be my primary focus. To our families, I have always enjoyed the support and partnership that exists between the school and the community. I know all too well that it is your commitment and involvement in your child's educational experience that is the cornerstone of their success and I look forward to this ongoing relationship.
We are very excited about the 1:1 Laptop Initiative that is being launched this year at the high school. This initiative will provide a powerful learning tool to every student and add to their academic resources both at home and at school. We are committed to cultivating a learning environment that blends the best practices of the traditional classroom and a technology rich classroom at WTHS.
I am looking forward to another exceptional year at WTHS and I will continue to work hard on behalf of our students, families and staff at Washington Township High School.
