Washington Township High School has long been my second home. I served in the role of director of school counseling from November, 2010 until June of 2016. I transitioned to 11/12 executive assistant principal, serving in that role from March, 2016 until July, 2017. During the 2017-2018 school year, I served as elementary principal at Enrique S. Camarena Elementary School in Chula Vista, CA.
It is an honor for me to return "home" to serve as the high school principal, beginning August 1, 2018!
I believe that school culture is the single most important factor in the success of any school. Working to foster a positive environment where students and staff feel valued and inspired to work and learn together is most important to me as an educator. To that end, I am committed to open communication and clear expectations that will help our school community and our students reach our full potential.
The opportunity to work with parents and staff to help our students grow from adolescents to young adults is simply an awesome challenge for all of us. An African proverb states, "It takes a village to raise a child." With this in mind, I challenge all of us to work together to make each day one that is filled with lots of learning, lots of fun, and lots of reasons to make TWP proud!
Please do not hesitate to contact me or any of our dedicated staff with questions or concerns that may arise during the course of the year. We are here to serve.
