AP Physics
-
Welcome to AP Physics C. The coming school year will be challenging but rewarding! There are several files to download: The purpose of this assignment is to ensure that you have an introduction to the basics of calculus, vectors, and kinematics.
- Welcome letter
- Introduction to Calculus with worksheets
- Vectors
- Kinematics
- Forms for Day 1
One resource that may be helpful for you is a free online course through EdX. It is called "On Ramp to AP Physics C Mechanics" and you can find it at this link: https://www.edx.org/course/on-ramp-to-ap-physics-c-mechanics. There is a similar course that covers the AP Physics 1 material, so if this fall will be your first experience with physics, you may benefit from the AP 1 online course. In either case, there is no need to pay for a certificate; you can audit either course and finish at your own pace, or just try pieces of it to review and/or orient yourself to the content. Neither course is a requirement for our class, but feel free to try them out and let me know whether or not they were helpful. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I'll be periodically checking emails throughout the summer. My email is rduym@wtps.orgPlease join the Remind for this class, text @twpappc22 to 81010 . (You can send a note through Remind too-please only do so during "office hours": 7 am - 7pm)Additional comment: If, while completing the calculus section of your packet, you are having trouble with Doc Schuster, another really good series of videos can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jKYaOrCX-8 (Viren's Videos).

Doc Schuster's Intro to Calculus Video Playlist
This link will take you to Doc Schuster's Intro to Calculus video lesson set, which contains the six videos you will need for the summer assignment. It should auto play the first in the set, and the others in the list should appear in a sidebar. Feel free to check out his other videos on vectors and kinematics if you need more help with those topics.
